I have a sister who "claims" to love football. While watching the game she deosnt know half of whats going on. Doesnt know a P.A.T from a fieldgoal, A tightend for a halfback, a cb from a lb. She got into football after meeting her husband. Now, like him, shes a die hard redskins fan. Whats worst is i often have to hear about football from her while on the phone or visiting. Im not a fan. I played in high school and had a ball but by no means am i a fan.For those of you who are not fans as well you understand that by not being a fan WE DONT WANT TO TALK FOOTBALL!!! and its worst when the person making you talk it isnt really into it. they just joining the ban wagon. WHY??? is there an acceptance somewhere for fans? ill never fully understand it!

I really agree with you about the providence college mascot.I pulled up a picture of him, or her, I can't tell, and got really freaked out. It's like the people at providence probably took freaky a puppet, made him taller, and dressed him as a nun. Great job providence. You scared me. Not even my brother can do that. Tell your scary mascot to pray for me.

Is the Colgate Raider a Revolutionary War era patriot/minuteman? Is he a pirate? I'm trying to figure out what connection either might have to Colgate. Were there pirates on Taylor Lake and I just never noticed? While I understand the old mascot and nickname had to go, for many years there was no mascot. Help me understand why this horrible abomination of a mascot is better than nothing at all. The school had 25 years to think about it and this is the best they could do? If this was the best idea, think of all the other ideas that didn't make the list.

I am skilled in the Wonderlic and other Pschometric tools used to predict performance. I am convinced that the players score is the most important metric used at the Combine. By using the score I was able to predict the winner against the line 80% of the time during the 2010 season.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. i am a huge giants fan. & going by your article, i am a true giants fan. reading this litterallly covered EVERYTHING that bothers me about wanna be , bandwagon joining, fake fann bitches that are trying to impress guys. daily, i have people telll me that im obsessed with football, and my response is, i like football alot, so if you wanna call it that than go ahead. but if being "obsessed" is what a true fan is, and "liking football" by wearing the studded giants tshirts from victoria's secret pink nfl collection is concidered a "normal fan" then obsessed is what i want to be. i own so many giants jerseys, two sweatshirts, blankets, pillows, pajama pants, a hat& posters up the wazooo. yes, i can telll you that the coach to the giants is tom coughlin, this season was a rocky seasin for them, you can't win games with as many interceptions as eli manning gave up, steve smith was out for a majority of the season, and all of the last few games needing knee surgery. one of the greatest upsets in nfl history took place right in newmeadow lands, against the eagles :/ . long ago, before i was even born, bill parcells lead the giants thtough bad times and incredible. lawrence taylor, the greatest line backer to ever play football was under his wing. the giants have had great times , and terrible. but like you said, staying true to your team through good times and bad, is what makes a true fan.

You're an idiot about the Ibis and are definitely not from Miami....This are what Ibis's look like in Miami. Plus the Ibis is known for being the last to leave before a hurricane hits. It makes perfect sense and is actually a very intelligent thought for a mascot of the HURRICANES.
